Qualifications and Experience
School District Strategies’ personnel consists of eleven full-time employees and 27 part-time employees. The firm is based in Dallas-Ft. Worth. The personnel work with school district clients through the School District Strategies (SDS) brand, and residential, developer, and lending clients through the Residential Strategies, Inc. (RSI) brand.
Ted Wilson is the senior member and serves as Principal and President of both firms. His primary responsibilities include client management and consulting, general management and long-range planning for RSI, which specializes in new home market research and consulting. The company operates in Dallas-Ft. Worth, Austin, and San Antonio.
Mr. Wilson routinely consults with 200+ subscription clients that represent the area’s premier builders, lot developers, and financial institutions. As a result, he has established a reputation of understanding the latest new home trends, and the value and velocities of lot sales throughout the market. Mr. Wilson graduated Magna Cum Laude from Amherst College in 1980 and has over 25 years of experience in residential market analysis.
In 2001, Mr. Wilson started School District Strategies (SDS) as an affiliate to RSI. In 2006, Brent Alexander joined SDS as the lead demographer. He graduated from Oklahoma State University in 1996 with a B.A. in History. He earned a master’s degree in American Studies from The University of Alabama in 1998. After college, he served five years as a Market Analyst for Pulte Homes in Dallas-Ft. Worth and two years as the Senior Market Analyst for Mercedes Homes in Texas. During this period of his career, Mr. Alexander provided forecasts and demographic data to corporate leaders, division presidents, financial officers, land acquisition managers, and sales and marketing departments in Dallas-Ft. Worth, Austin, Houston, San Antonio, Denver, Albuquerque, Charlotte, and Florida.
During his time as the Director for SDS, he has worked with over 30 Texas school districts. Mr. Alexander’s responsibilities have included providing demographic analysis and student enrollment forecasts, assisting district planners with the creation or modification of attendance zones, geocoding student demographics, and producing district maps with GIS applications. He consults with many districts on a quarterly basis and has presented school district demographics to school boards, bond oversight and growth planning committees, and parents at public hearings.
Mr. Alexander will serve as the primary contact for the district and will work directly with the district designee. He is supported by RSI Senior Vice-President, Cassie Gibson, who graduated from The University of North Texas with a B.A. in Geography and a B.B.A. in Marketing, plus five full-time research analysts, and one full-time administrative employee.
